BPPV: Foundations for Practice (VF-0007)


Description
This next course in the Introduction to Vestibular Rehabilitation Curriculum provides a foundational understanding of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), one of the most common causes of vertigo. This course can be taken as a stand alone if not taking the entire Curriculum. Designed for healthcare professionals, students, and anyone interested in vestibular disorders, the course covers the the pathophysiology of BPPV, common symptoms, testing, and treatment

Participants will learn how to identify BPPV through clinical assessment techniques such as the Dix-Hallpike and Supine Roll tests. The course also introduces evidence-based treatment maneuvers, including the Epley and Semont repositioning maneuvers. Emphasis is placed on identification of nystagmus in BPPV, safe practice, patient education, and effective treatment.

Completion Requirements: 1. Completing all sections of course 2. Passing exam with score of 70% 3. Completing post course survey
